There are plenty of things to see and do in the Denver area, from touring the incredibly scenic Rocky Mountain National Park to shopping, museums, and amusement parks. Both the Colorado Rockies baseball team and Colorado Rapids professional soccer team will be in action in May. There are several outlet malls within 45 minutes of the field. Skiing will probably be winding down - but I am reasonably sure a couple of ski areas will still be open for late spring skiing!
